A 42-year-old Golden Gate man is behind bars after CCSO detectives say they discovered multiple files of child pornography in his possession.

A search warrant was served at the home of Juan Antonio Jaimes Aguilar at his home on 26th Ave. S.W., Golden Gate on Tuesday morning.

Aguilar was arrested on charges related to possession of five video files depicting children between the ages of 5 and 16 engaged in sex acts.

CCSO recently received tips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children about the transmission of child pornography from social media accounts.

Detectives were able to link the accounts to Aguilar through their investigation.

“Our detectives won’t rest until heinous crimes like this are solved and the criminals responsible are taken to justice,” Sheriff Kevin Rambosk said.

Aguilar is now in the Naples Jail Center facing 10 felony charges; five for possession of child pornography and five for transmitting it.
