The Chicco Next2Me Bedside Crib, available to pre-order at Aldi this week, has been described as a ‘game changer’ by satisfied parents. Priced at £129.99, the crib has proven popular with customers, with 84% of 611 reviewers on Amazon awarding it five stars, along with a further 9% at four stars.

Complete with a special safety harness that attaches to bed frames to securely hold it in position, your little one can sleep right by your side without having to join you in bed. It comes with six different height adjustments and adapts to any bed, while it can even be used in a tilting mode to help support reflux and congestion.

One reviewer said: “This crib was a game-changer. My son (three weeks old) has constant needs for cuddling, and he often wakes up as soon as you try to put him down, fusses, then when you pick him up and he goes right back to sleep.

“He sleeps really well in this - I'm able to put one hand on him while he sleeps, which satisfies him. If you've got a similar type of kid... buy one of these cribs.”

This comes as part of the launching of Aldi’s popular Mamia Baby and Toddler Event, which sees the return of much-loved low-cost parenting essentials. Prices range from just 99p to almost £230, with many baby must-haves included.

Available to pre-order from July 17 and in-stores from July 21, parents will have to be quick to snatch up these wide-ranging products as, like all Specialbuys, once they’re gone, they’re gone. Also included in the collection is an adorable Moses basket with a rocking stand at £34.99.

The item is ideal for newborns, with the solid pine wood rocking stand having a specially designed curved base to smoothly rock babies to sleep. To complete the night’s comfort, a baby blanket (£12.99), nursery cushion (£6.99) and baby sleep bag (£9.99) can also be purchased at Aldi.

Changing options are also available, such as a stylish £24.99 changing basket and a £12.99 wedge change mat, while the £9.99 nappy bin can be kept close by, with its multi-layer film and smart seal lid keeping any odours at bay. As for entertaining the youngsters, the play gym at £19.99 is complete with toys, music and lights while the tummy time roller at £12.99 helps strengthen the upper body and stimulate the senses. For the slightly older babies (those who have reached 12 months), the £39.99 wooden animal rocker comes in elephant and giraffe varieties and will create hours of fun.
