UFC on ESPN 39 play-by-play and live results

LAS VEGAS – MMA Junkie was on scene and reporting live from Saturday’s UFC on ESPN 39 event, providing live play-by-play and official results.

UFC on ESPN 39 took place Saturday at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. The card airs on ESPN and streams on ESPN+.

In the main event, former lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos (31-14 MMA, 20-12 UFC) took on rising standout Rafael Fiziev (12-1 MMA, 6-1 UFC). In the co-feature, Caio Borralho (12-1 MMA, 2-0 UFC) met Armen Petrosyan (7-2 MMA, 1-1 UFC) at middleweight.

Round 1 – They touch gloves and immediately trade punches. Kakhramonov lands a nice right hand a moment later. Lawrence gets a hold of Kakhramonov after a kick lands and began looking to bring the fight to the mat. They scramble for position and Kakhramonov gets Lawrence pinned against the fence. Kakhramonov then gets a nice judo takedown and begins working from half guard. Lawrence is bleeding from the nose as he tries to control Kakhramonov, preventing passes. Kakhramonov lands a couple of hard hammerfists but Lawrence gets back to his feet. The moment is short-lived though, because Kakhramonov sticks with him, keeping the clinch, and gets the fight right back to the ground. Lawrence works his way back to his feet, but they remain clinched. Kakhramonov eats a couple of knees to the body before getting another takedown, ending up in side control. Lawrence keeps Kakhramonov in close to prevent ground and pound, and stalls the action until the horn sounds. MMA Junkie scores the round 10-9 for Kakhramonov.

Round 2 – Kakhramonov lands a nice head kick as one of the first strikes of the round. Lawrence looks for a spinning kick but misses wildly. They trade clean punches. Lawrence lands a nice uppercut, but Kakhramonov shoots in for a takedown a moment after. He gets Lawrence down to a knee and decides to land couple of hard punches against the fence before Lawrence tried to power back up to his feet. Kakhramonov drags him back down, this time getting him on his back. From half guard, Kakhramonov lands a couple of short strikes and looks to isolate Lawrence’s left arm. Lawrence gets back to full guard for a moment, but Kakhramonov quickly passed to get back to half guard. Lawrence finds an opening and gets back to his feet. They stay clinched and this time, Lawrence gets a takedown. However, he’s unable to secure the position for long because Kakhramonov was quick to get back up and push Lawrence against the cage in the clinch. Kakhramonov looks for a big head kick right before the horn but it misses. MMA Junkie scores the round 10-9 for Kakhramonov.

Round 3 – Lawrence opens up the final round with a nice spinning kick to the body. He tries for another, this one going high, but Kakhramonov was ready for it and evaded. Kakhramonov looks for another takedown, and Lawrence attempted to scramble and lock in an omoplata. It’s not there, and Kakhramonov ends up on top in guard. Lawrence holds on for a moment before trying to post and get back to his feet. They scramble again, but Kakhramonov ends up on the back. Lawrence gets to his feet, but Kakhramonov sticks to him like glue and drags the fight back to the mat. Lawrence is able to get Kakhramonov off his back into side control, and eventually regain full guard. Kakhramonov remains heavy on top until the horn sounds. Round 1 – They start off exchanging hard strikes but a kick from Nzechukwu went south causing a pause in the action. They get back to it, and Nzechukwu defends a takedown attempt from Roberson well, initially stuffing it and then threatening a guillotine attempt. They end up clinched against the cage, with Nzechukwu pressing Roberson against the fence before hitting a trip takedown of his own. Nzechukwu transitioned to the back and slipped his left arm under the chin to threaten a choke. Roberson turned out of the attempt, but Nzechukwu regained the back position, and started on a neck crank. Roberson found space to get back to his feet, but Nzechukwu put his back on the canvas quickly. A D’Arce choke attempt was there for a moment, but Nzechukwu then switched to the back control again and looked for another choke. Roberson got his back to the fence and popped back up to his feet, but Nzechukwu doesn’t give him any room to breathe in the clinch. Roberson reverses position in the final seconds, but nothing comes of it. MMA Junkie scores the round 10-9 for Nzechukwu.

Round 2 – They start trading punches and kicks to start. Roberson landed a pair of nice kicks to the body, but Nzechukwu charged forward with punches and used the moment to get a takedown. Roberson tries to get back to his feet, but Nzechukwu adjusts and secures the position. Heavy punches to the body from Nzechukwu land as Roberson is in a sitting position with his back against the fence and his legs wrapped up by Nzechukwu. Roberson tries to explode and scramble to his feet, but Nzechukwu calmly maintains top control as he receives instruction from his coach who is right on the other side of the fence. Nzechukwu gets the back again and thinks about a choke. He gives it up and takes top position until the horn sounds. MMA Junkie scores the round 10-9 for Nzechukwu.

Round 3 – They touch gloves and trade punches in the center. Roberson lands a nice inside leg kick but is answered by punches from Nzechukwu. Roberson circles away and Nzechukwu looks for a kick and then closes the distance to get another takedown. This time, Nzechukwu winds up in full mount. Nzechukwu almost loses the position as Roberson tries to work free, but adjusts and locks in an arm triangle choke. Roberson defends it and Nzechukwu opts for heavy punches and elbows from top position. He keeps raining them down unanswered and referee Herb Dean calls for a stop to the fight. Strong finish for Nzechukwu.

Round 1 – The fighters touch gloves and begin trying to find the range with punches. Armfield puts together a quick combination of punches. Onama lands a kick to the body a moment later. Armfield clinches and gets Onama against the fence, but Onama reverses and finds his way to the back of his opponent. Onama tries to get the fight to the ground but Armfield scrambles back to an advantageous position and looks for a takedown of his own. Onama attempts an armlock on the way down, but Armfield was wise to it and got out of danger. He stays on top for a moment, but Onama gets back to his feet and they return to the center. They get back to exchanging punches and Armfield lands a nice left to knock Onama off balance. More punches are traded, with Armfield’s shots getting through a little cleaner. Onama goes for a body kick, but Armfield blocks and they trade more punches. Armfield clinches again, pushing Onama against the cage. Onama breaks free and lands a nice punch on the exit. In the closing seconds, Onama puts together a nice combination. MMA Junkie scores the round 10-9 for Armfield.

Round 2 – They touch gloves again and get right back to trading punches in the center of the cage. Onama adds in a couple of kicks and then punches to the body. Armfield adds a kick of his own followed by a punch. More punches land for both. A kick to the body is nearly caught by Onama. Armfield looks for a takedown but Onama sprawls and scrambles to the back. Armfield gets back to his feet and turns , but Onama takes the legs out and dumps him back down, returning to back position. He looks for the body triangle but Armfield prevents it. However, Onama uses the movement to his advantage and sees the opening for an arm triangle. He locks it in tight and after adjusting his hips and tightening his squeeze, puts Armfield out.

Round 1 – Shevchenko opens the action with a couple of light leg kicks. Casey answers with one of her own as they try to find the range. Shevchenko fires off a couple of punches and a side kick to the body. Casey lands a body kick but is met with a punch from Shevchenko. Casey goes back to the outside leg kick. Shevchenko lands a couple of punches as Casey attempted to charge forward. A moment later, Casey lands a nice punch followed by a single leg attempt. Shevchenko keeps things standing and goes back to her kicking game. A side kick from Shevchenko is caught by Casey. A big elbow just misses from Casey, and Shevchenko gets a takedown. Casey stays active from her back, landing short strikes. Shevchenko stays heavy in full guard, but Casey is more effective with strikes here. Shevchenko stands up in the closing seconds and the horn sounds. MMA Junkie scores the round 10-9 for Casey.

Round 2 – Shevchenko opens the round with a side stance and kicks to the legs of Casey, who tries to catch an offering. A moment later, Casey kicks to the head, but Shevchenko blocks it. A takedown attempt from Shevchenko is defended by Casey and they return to the center of the cage. Shevchenko continues to threaten with kicks, going low and high. A wheel kick from Shevchenko misses the mark as Casey stays calm and continues to march forward looking for openings. Casey looks for the right hand but Shevchenko circles away. Casey clinches, but they return to the center a moment later. Shevchenko lands a nice side kick to the body. Casey blitzes forward with punches, landing a hard right hand in the closing moments. MMA Junkie scores the round 10-9 for Shevchenko.

Round 3 – Casey turns up the intensity early and charges forward with punches. Shevchenko circles away and resets. It’s back to the kicks for Shevchenko but Casey stays in a closer range. They exchange hard punches in the center. Shevchenko just misses with a big spinning backfist as Casey closes in for a takedown attempt. Casey gets Shevchenko against the cage and eventually hits an outside trip to complete the sequence. A big elbow lands for Casey before Shevchenko scrambles to half guard. Casey stays heavy on top, framing with the elbow, and begins landing a couple of punches to the body. Shevchenko gets her legs in and pushes Casey off, and they return to their feet. Casey rushes back in with a big punch, but it just misses. Casey keeps the pressure high now and gets another takedown, ending up in full mount. Shevchenko finds enough space to get back to her feet, and takes the Thai clinch. A few knees land for Shevchenko here, but then Casey breaks free. Another takedown follows for Casey and the fight ends on the mat. MMA Junkie scores the final round 10-9 for Casey, giving her the fight 29-28.

Round 1 – The fighters touch gloves and Gore opens up with a strong low kick. Brundage checked it, and responded with a hard punch. Gore blocked the offering, but Brundage went right into a takedown attempt and nearly completed it. Gore got dragged to his knees, but quickly returned to his feet and eventually broke free. Back in the center, Brundage landed a nice elbow as Gore looked to land a strike of his own. A step-in elbow from Brundage is offered again. Brundage offers a few more punches, but Gore covers up well. A right hand does get through for Brundage. Gore keeps the pressure high and fires back strikes of his own. Another step-in elbow for Brundage, but this one is blocked. Gore lands a nice outside leg kick and misses with the second. A big overhand right just misses the mark for Brundage. Gore chops with a big outside leg kick, but Brundage counters beautifully with a hard right hand to drop Gore. Brundage swarms with follow-up strikes and Gore goes out. What a finish.

Round 1 – Mullarkey and Johnson touch gloves and begin feeling out the range. Mullarkey opens with a leg kick and Johnson answers. A big kick just misses for Mullarkey, who then goes to the body with a punch. He then scores with a nice outside leg kick. Johnson fires off a fast combination of punches as Mullarkey closes the distance. The outside leg kick is there again for Mullarkey. Johnson remains patient in his approach, while Mullarkey continues to offer strikes first. Mullarkey goes to throw a punch but Johnson times it well and sparks him with a hard combination, sending him to the canvas. Mullarkey covers up well and avoids a finish. They return to the feet a few moments later. Just when Johnson begins to feel confident, Mullarkey lands a punch to wobble him and the swarm is on. Johnson shoots for a single and eats some hard elbows to the head. He lets go and returns to his feet, coming up swinging. The round ends after another wild exchange. MMA Junkie scores the round 10-9 for Johnson.

Round 2 – They don’t waste much time getting back to the action, as Mullarkey continues to go first in the striking exchanges. A big right hand from Mullarkey partially lands to the head after going to the body with a punch. Johnson fires punches back, but Mullarkey is a little crisper with his punches. Mullarkey mixes in a couple of kicks as they trade. Mullarkey is catching Johnson clean with punches now. Another clean land for Mullarkey and he closes the distance to grab a Thai clinch. He lands knees to the body and short elbows as Johnson tries to stay in the fight. Blood is pouring from a cut over the right eye of Johnson now. Mullarkey remains on the offensive, striking to the legs and firing off a sharp left hand. Johnson finds the timing for a takedown, and nearly gets it. Mullarkey was fast to get back to his feet. Back in space, Mullarkey continues to fire off hard strikes, catching Johnson with a clean head kick to wobble Johnson. Somehow, Johnson keeps firing back. Round 3 – One last touch of gloves and they come out looking for an opening. Johnson finds a home for a punch and Mullarkey answers back. Mullarkey lands a left and Johnson fires two punches in return. A nice right hook lands for Johnson a moment later. Mullarkey looks for a leg kick but Johnson catches him with a clean left hand. They trade punches in the center. A head kick from Mullarkey doesn’t quite land clean and they get back to exchanging punches. Mullarkey goes to the body with a kick. Johnson lands a couple of hard punches that seem to bother Mullarkey. Johnson lands a nice right hand as Mullarkey shoots for a takedown. A moment later, another takedown attempt is sprawled nicely by Johnson. Mullarkey keeps pressing forward looking to land punches. He goes high with a kick again and Johnson responds with punches. They continue to trade punches. Johnson lands a nice combination and then a flurry follows. Johnson lands clean again before the horn sounds. What a wild fight. Zahabi stays patient and tries to get a read on his opponent. Turcios lands a leg kick. A big right hand misses for Zahabi. Turcios tries to draw another reaction from Zahabi with stomps and claps, but nothing comes of it. Zahabi offers a pair of left hands. Turcios presses forward with punches and kicks and returns to the audible, exaggerated feints. A nice leg kick from Zahabi sweeps Turcios off his feet. A moment later, Turcios attempts a big wheel kick that misses. Zahabi fires off a leg kick. Turcios fires off a series of strikes in the closing seconds. MMA Junkie scores the round 10-9 for Turcios.

Round 2 – They trade leg kicks early to get the action started. A body kick from Zahabi is caught by Turcios. A hard head kick is attempted by Zahabi, but Turcios blocks it. Turcios peppers out the left jab and Zahabi fires a leg kick in return. Another wheel kick from Turcios misses, as does the response from Zahabi. They then trade punches in the center of the cage. Turcios presses forward. Zahabi lands a nice inside leg kick to start another exchange of punches and kicks as they move all over the octagon. Zahabi doubles up on inside leg kicks. Turcios continues to move forward while offering strikes, but his strikes don’t have much power on them. In the final seconds, Turcios blitzes forward with punches, but doesn’t land anything particularly significant. MMA Junkie scores the round 10-9 for Zahabi.

Round 3 – Zahabi lands an inside leg kick to start the round. Turcios bounces around on the outside and eats another leg kick. A right hand lands for Turcios. Zahabi goes to the leg kick again. He doubles them up a few seconds later. Turcios charges forward with punches, but doesn’t land clean. Zahabi lands another leg kick. More pressure from Turcios, but the offense isn’t landing or causing any damage. Zahabi returns to the leg kicks. Turcios charges forward again, this time, some punches get through Zahabi’s defense. The leg kick is there again for Zahabi and so is a nice left hand soon after. Turcios doubles up the jab twice, two with the left hand, followed by two with the right. Zahabi’s defense shines as he evades the offerings from Turcios in the closing moments. MMA Junkie scores the round 10-9 for Zahabi, giving him the fight 29-28.

Round 1 – The two heavyweights meet in the center and touch gloves. Both begin pawing out left hands. Sherman finds home for a nice right hand to the chin of Vanderaa. A few left jabs from Vanderaa find the mark and Sherman responds by going downstairs with a hard leg kick. Vanderaa continues to work behind the left jab. Sherman fires off a pair of nice kicks. Vanderaa lands a leg kick and Sherman counters with a right hand. A nice outside leg kick from Sherman lands. They exchange crisp left hands. Sherman fires off a combination of punches and a kick to the body. They exchange punches again, this time with Sherman mixing punches to the body and the head. Vanderaa stalks behind the left jab. Sherman lands a kick to the body, but Vanderaa lands a nice combination to get Sherman’s attention and a smile. They start talking to each other as they exchange punches and Sherman lands a nice right hand. MMA Junkie scores the round 10-9 for Sherman.

Round 2 – They quickly get into boxing range and continue talking to each other. Vanderaa fires the left jab first and mixes in a leg kick. Sherman answers back. Vanderaa continues to fire the left jab as Sherman tries to work around it. Sherman charges ahead with a nice combination, but Vanderaa is quick to go right back to the jab. A hard leg kick catches Sherman. They continue to trade punches in the center of the cage, with Vanderaa getting the better of this exchange. The left jab touches Sherman again, who then charges forward with wild punches as Vanderaa circles away. A nice right hand for Sherman lands, followed by a leg kick. They trade punches in the middle again. The left jab is there again for Vanderaa. Another nice exchange of punches, with both fighters landing flush. Yet another exchange of hard punches. Both fighters are bloodied now. Vanderaa lands a kick to the body in the closing seconds. MMA Junkie scores the round 10-9 for Vanderaa.

Round 3 – They touch gloves and get right back to trading punches in the center of the cage. Vanderaa adds a kick at the end of the opening exchange. The left jab pops Sherman again. They trade big punches again. A nice right hand from Vanderaa scores. Another right hand lands after Sherman lands a punch. Vanderaa starts to ramp up the intensity with a combination, but Sherman fires back punches of his own. Vanderaa adds a punch to the body in the next exchange. They’re just slugging it out in the center of the cage. Sherman catches him clean and he notices Vanderaa is hurt. The swarm is on and Sherman unleashes a series of punches. Vanderaa gets clipped again and he’s wobbled badly. Sherman continues the onslaught. Vanderaa is on the receiving end of a few clean punches and drops to the ground while covering up. The referee stops any further damage. Very nice finish for Sherman.

Round 1 – They touch gloves and begin measuring the distance. Nurmagomedov attempted a spinning attack just as Silva de Andrade closed in to clinch. Silva de Andrade presses Nurmagomedov against the cage and they jockey for position. Nurmagomedov tosses Silva de Andrade and they separate. Silva de Andrade doubles up leg kicks but Nurmagomedov responds with a pair of kicks upstairs. A moment later, Nurmagomedov misses with a wheel kick. Another spinning kick followed. Nurmagomedov kicks the leg and goes into a head kick all in one motion, showing off all his flashy techniques. Silva de Andrade appears to clip Nurmagomedov as he attempted to duck under a punch, but Nurmagomedov immediately popped up and waved his hands as if it didn’t land. A spinning back fist misses for both men and Nurmagomedov ends the round with a takedown. MMA Junkie scores the frame 10-9 for Nurmagomedov.

Round 2 – They touch gloves again. Nurmagomedov continues his array of kicks and then offers a combination of punches. Then a nice leg kick knocks Silva de Andrade off his feet. More offense from Nurmagomedov lands. Silva de Andrade is able to find home for punches as he charges forward. Nurmagomedov kicks to the body and Silva de Andrade responds with one of his own a moment later. Nurmagomedov goes high with a couple of kicks and then to the body. They move about the cage, with both men offering strikes that don’t find the mark. Nurmagomedov lands a partially-blocked question mark kick. Silva de Andrade charges ahead but Nurmagomedov lands a nice right hand and changes levels for the takedown. Silva de Andrade keeps the fight standing, though. They both attempt spinning attacks and miss, but they both go to the well again, this time Silva de Andrade clips Nurmagomedov and pushes him to the canvas. MMA Junkie scores the round 10-9 for Nurmagomedov.

Round 3 – Nurmagomedov goes for a spinning attack early, but Silva de Andrade clinches and lifts him up for a slam. Nurmagomedov is quick to get back to his feet, and the separate a moment later. Nurmagomedov lands a nice outside leg kick. Silva de Andrade lands a kick to the body as Nurmagomedov throws a spinning back fist. A spinning back kick from Silva de Andrade goes low and the action is paused. They get back to it, and Nurmagomedov looks for a single leg takedown. Nurmagomedov gets it, but they continue to scramble for position, eventually just returning to the feet. Things start to get wild here with wild strikes. Nurmagomedov attempts to spin again, but Silva de Andrade is too close and he’s knocked off balance. Nurmagomedov ends up on his back and looks for upkicks as Silva de Andrade remains standing. Eventually, referee Herb Dean stands Nurmagomedov back up. Silva de Andrade turns up the pressure with heavy strikes, and gets a little sloppy. A big takedown shot is stuffed by Silva de Andrade. Round 1 – The middleweights touch up and begin the feel-out process. Petrosyan opens with an inside leg kick, but then Borralho lands an open-hand slap followed by a punch. Borralho then shoots in for a takedown and gets Petrosyan to the mat. Borralho works from the back, looking for a rear-naked choke. Petrosyan remains calm and defends without exerting much energy. Borralho focuses on securing the back position and sneaks in a nice punch to the head. Petrosyan tries to improve his position and pushes off the fence with his feet, but Borralho maintains back control. MMA Junkie scores the round 10-9 for Borralho.

Round 2 – Petrosyan looks for a leg kick early and then goes upstairs with the right leg. Borralho fires a kick in return before timing a beautiful double leg takedown. Borralho settles in side control, but quickly takes full mount. Petrosyan reverses the position and has to fight off a guillotine attempt in the scramble, but gets out and returns to his feet. Petrosyan kicks low and adds punches upstairs. Another combination of similar strikes follows. Borralho shoots in for another strong double leg and gets the fight back to the ground. Borralho takes the back again with about 80 seconds remaining. He looks for the rear-naked choke, but doesn’t go hard for it. The round ends in this position. MMA Junkie scores the round 10-9 for Borralho.

Round 3 – They embrace in the center before getting back to the action. Petrosyan slaps with a hard kick, and a couple of leg kicks after. A moment later, Borralho looks for the takedown again, but this time Petrosyan is close to the cage and is able to keep it standing. Borralho keeps the double underhooks though, and keeps Petrosyan pinned against the cage. A couple of short strikes are exchanged, but the referee calls for action. Borralho slips to the back. He goes for a trip, but completely slips off and ends up on the ground. Petrosyan slaps with kicks to the legs in the up-down position. Borralho is stood up by the referee. Petrosyan turns up the pressure with strikes, but Borralho gets another takedown. They get back to the feet quickly, but Borralho keeps the clinch against the cage. Close strikes are exchanged here. The action is paused in the final seconds for a low blow, but neither fighter want to stop. They resume in the clinch, but Petrosyan breaks free and looks to land a head kick at the horn. MMA Junkie scores the final round 10-9 for Petrosyan, but the fight goes to Borralho 29-28.

Round 1 – The lightweights start off the main event with a touch of gloves. Fiziev gets the action started with a hard right kick to the body. RDA answers back with one of his own a moment later. Fiziev fires a from kick to the body and then just misses with a hard hard kick. A nice punch from RDA lands as he pressures forward. Fiziev lands a front kick to the body. RDA shoots for a takedown, resulting in a clinch against the cage. RDA lands knees to the thigh before dropping levels looking to complete the takedown. Fiziev keeps the fight on the feet, and eventually breaks free. Fiziev lands a nice combination shortly after the exit. RDA returns fire with a kick. Fiziev gets some of a flying knee, but not enough to hurt RDA. A hard outside leg kick lands for RDA. Fiziev goes to the body with a kick before they exchange punches. RDA shoots in for another takedown, once again leading to a clinch against the fence. They separate and return to the center of the cage. Fiziev fires off a sharp combination of strikes in the closing seconds. MMA Junkie scores the round 10-9 for Fiziev.

Round 2 – A touch of gloves and they’re back to exchanging kicks in the center of the cage. Fiziev fires off quick punches to the body. A moment later, Fiziev catches a kick and clinches, but decides to let go. An accidental eye poke from Fiziev causes RDA to take a moment to recover. They get back to it after a short break and the action is fast. Fiziev unloads a combination and RDA fires back. Another takedown attempt from RDA fails, but he takes the back standing against the cage. Fiziev gets his back to the fence and then separates a second later. RDA lands a nice right jab. Fiziev goes body-head with punches. They trade punches in the center. RDA times a kick and gets a takedown, but Fiziev is almost instantly back to the feet, keeping the clinch against the cage. They separate and return to the center and trade strikes. RDA clinches again and Fiziev reverses position. Back to the center again, RDA sneaks in a nice uppercut. Fiziev lands a crisp combo as RDA tries to close the distance. Fiziev lands a kick to the body and RDA answers with a punch. MMA Junkie scores the round 10-9 for Fiziev.

Round 3 – Fiziev opens with a front kick to the body after a touch of gloves. RDA looks for the takedown early, and they end up clinched against the cage. RDA nearly takes the back and kicks out the leg, getting Fiziev to the ground momentarily. Fiziev returns to his feet quickly, but RDA doesn’t give up on the clinch and takedown. RDA goes for a single but Fiziev escapes. They exchange punches and kicks in the center for a moment, but RDA goes back for another takedown. Referee Mark Smith calls for action in the clinch. Fiziev gets free and returns to the center. They trade leg kicks. Fiziev goes to the body with the right kick. RDA looks for the left hand, but Fiziev dips under it and clinches, pushing RDA into the cage. They return to the middle again and Fiziev lands a nice right hand as they start to trade. RDA lands a nice jab in return. Fiziev gets a right hand around the defense of RDA. They continue to trade punches and kicks until the round ends. MMA Junkie scores the round 10-9 for Fiziev.

Round 4 – Fiziev opens with a front kick to the body, sparking an intense exchange of punches. RDA clinches and pushes Fiziev into the fence. The referee steps in pretty quickly to ask for action, but they separate and get back to exchanging punches in the center. RDA looks for the clinch again, but Fiziev reverses and pushes RDA into the cage. They break and RDA goes for a flying knee and follows up with a couple of punches. Fiziev clinches and puts RDA’s back against the fence again. They fight for position for a moment before going back to the center. RDA shoots for a well-timed takedown, but Fiziev defends it. Fiziev fires off punches, but RDA shoots in for a takedown and this one is his best yet. He gets both hands clasped, lifts, and slams Fiziev to the canvas. Fiziev gets his back to the cage quickly and begins to wall walk. RDA stays heavy and keeps him seated. Fiziev returns to his feet in the closing seconds and RDA lands a nice left elbow before the horn. MMA Junkie scores the round 10-9 for RDA.

Round 5 – They exchange kicks to the body to start. Fiziev charges forward with a right knee, a right hand, followed by a hard, clean left hook that drops RDA. Fiziev swarms and the fight is stopped. Fiziev closes the show with an impressive finish in the early moments of the last round.
